Cancer Awareness with Mahim Dharavi Medical Practitioners’ Association

A Wonderful Scientific Session on Cancer Awareness with Mahim Dharavi Medical Practitioners’ Association The Indian Cancer Treatment Center (ICTC) recently had the privilege of conducting an engaging and informative scientific session with case discussions, in collaboration with the Mahim Dharavi Medical Practitioners’ Association. Representing ICTC at this impactful event was Dr. Rohit Pai, who delivered a highly insightful talk on cancer awareness, early detection, and treatment options. His session emphasized the importance of timely diagnosis and the role that general practitioners and family doctors play in identifying potential warning signs of cancer. To make the session interactive and memorable, Dr. Pai also conducted an Oncology Quiz, which sparked great enthusiasm among the doctors. This fun yet knowledge-driven activity not only reinforced important cancer-related facts but also encouraged active participation and engagement. The event witnessed an impressive turnout of about 110 doctors. Each of these practitioners now carries forward the message of cancer awareness into their daily practice. This means that many more patients who present with symptoms could now be guided towards timely consultations with an oncologist—bridging the crucial gap between first-line care and specialized cancer treatment. Wide Reach: With over 100 doctors attending, the session created a ripple effect of awareness. Knowledge Exchange: The case discussions allowed doctors to gain practical insights that will directly help their patients. Interactive Learning: The oncology quiz added energy to the session, keeping doctors involved and informed. Collaborative Effort: Partnering with the Mahim Dharavi Medical Practitioners’ Association helped bring together a large community of healthcare providers under one roof. At ICTC, we believe that cancer awareness begins with education—not only for patients but also for the medical professionals who serve as the first point of contact in healthcare. This event was a step forward in ensuring that more patients at risk can be referred to the right specialists without delay. We are grateful to the Mahim Dharavi Medical Practitioners’ Association for their collaboration and to all the doctors who participated with such enthusiasm. Together, we can ensure that awareness translates into early detection, timely treatment, and better outcomes for patients.
