Every week, we bring you highlights from our ongoing efforts in cancer awareness, education, and research. From insightful CMEs to impactful community initiatives, this space captures ICTC’s journey in advancing affordable, quality cancer care across Mumbai and beyond. The Indian Cancer Treatment Center (ICTC) continues its mission to advance cancer care through education, awareness, and collaboration with medical professionals. In October 2025, ICTC conducted multiple impactful scientific sessions and Continuing Medical Education (CME) events across Mumbai and Navi Mumbai & Kalyan Dombivli region, engaging doctors and specialists in meaningful discussions about oncology advancements. 1. Scientific Session with GMA, Goregaon – Economics of Cancer Date: 5th October 2025Venue: Hotel Pride – Privilege Inn, Link Road, Malad West, Opposite Lokazy Toyota ShowroomAttendees: 45+ doctors ICTC partnered with the Goregaon Medical Association (GMA) to host a scientific session featuring case discussions. Dr. Viraj Nevrekar (MBBS, MD, DM – Medical Oncology), a leading cancer specialist in Goregaon, spoke on the topic: “Economics of Cancer”, highlighting the financial challenges in cancer care and strategies for making treatments more accessible. The session included distribution of ICTC brochures and leaflets, providing attendees with detailed information about our center’s advanced oncology services and expertise. 2. Case Discussion with Panvel Doctors Date: 5th October 2025 Attendees: Doctors from Panvel, Navi Mumbai ICTC’s team, including Dr. Salil Patkar (Best Oncologist in Vashi & Cancer Specialist in Panvel) and Dr. Kunal Goyal (Best Hematologist in Mumbai, BMT Expert & CAR-T Cell Expert Physician), conducted a round-table meeting with Panvel doctors. The session focused on interactive case discussions, sharing advanced treatment protocols such as CAR-T cell therapy, and strengthening collaboration with local medical practitioners. This engagement helped reinforce ICTC’s commitment to delivering state-of-the-art oncology care while fostering knowledge sharing among healthcare professionals. 3. National West Zone CGPCON & 55th Annual IMA Mumbai Branch Conference Date: 12th October 2025Venue: Hotel ITC Grand Central, Parel, MumbaiAttendees: 450+ doctors ICTC actively participated in the IMA Mumbai Branch, delivering sessions that combined scientific insights with practical case discussions. Dr. Viraj Nevrekar, best oncologist in Dadar, Mumbai spoke on “Economics of Cancer”, emphasizing cost-effective approaches to patient care. Dr. Rohit Pai, Medical Oncologist at ICTC, delivered a session on checkpoint inhibitor immunotherapy, sharing the latest developments in immunotherapy for various malignancies. ICTC brochures and promotional leaflets were distributed, reflecting our focus on education, awareness, and accessibility in cancer treatment. CME with Doctors of Ambernath – Led by Dr. Amit Ghanekar Date: 10th October 2025Attendees: 40+ doctors Dr. Amit Ghanekar cancer specialist in Kalyan conducted a CME session with doctors from Ambernath, offering insights into the latest oncology protocols and case discussions, strengthening the medical community’s knowledge and preparedness for cancer management.
